2010 Trinidad & Tobago Racing Trip

International Easter Grand Prix Racing Trip
Trinidad & Tobago
March 27 - April 5, 2010

Mike Fraysse Sports will be taking a group down to the Caribbean island nation of Trinidad & Tobago during the week of Easter for an intensive track-specific training camp followed by 3 days of international competition.

Arrival will be on Saturday, March 27. An intensive training camp will be run during the ensuing week, taking advantage of our location less than 1/2 a mile from the velodrome. Coaching staff made up of former Olympic Team and National Team coaches will be there both to direct high intensity workouts and to instruct riders in proper technique, tactics, and correct bike fittings, and work 1-on-1 with each rider as needed.

Over Easter weekend, participants will compete in the International Easter Grand Prix. The Grand Prix is a 3-day track meet with races for Junior, Amateur, Professional, and Masters categories. Juniors and Masters categories are divided by age group as per normal national championship standard (ie - 15-16, 35-39, etc.) while amateurs compete in categories 4, 3, 2, or 1. Each category will race 3-5 times each night, competing for prizes in each race and collecting points for an overall omnium that covers all 3 nights of racing.

In addition to great high-intensity early-season training in warm weather, plus top-notch international competition, participants will have the rare opportunity to share the velodrome with some of the sport's superstars competing in the professional category. Past editions have seen Franco Marvulli (5x World Champion), Walter Perez (Olympic and World Champion), Toni Tauler (Olympic medalist and former Tour de France rider), Roberto Chiappa (World Champion), Stefan Steinweg (World Champion), and many more of the biggest names in the world of cycling.

This trip is open to racers of all abilities, male and female: juniors, masters, and senior categories 4-3-2-1.

Price of $1495 (juniors please contact us for special Scholarship details) covers everything from airport pickup and transportation to races, private track use, motor sessions, coaching, accommodations, 3 daily meals, and race entry. The only thing this price does not cover is airfare, which is extremely cheap. For example, flights from Miami are around $230 roundtrip.
